Cathy is reunited with her son Derek, she was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Here is what we know... Apparently the car that Cathy has been driving ran out of gas in the Angeles National Forrest near to a campground (by Lake Hughes.) This morning a person searching for firewood ran into Cathy who had fallen down a few hundred feet from her car down an embankment . The person approached Cathy to aid her. After a conversation, the person asked Cathy if she had any contact numbers. Cathy remembered she had a paper in her purse with her cousin's telephone number... The cousin was contacted who relayed info to others. Derek was given the phone number of the person who stumbled upon Cathy. Derek was given a location and confirmation Cathy was OK. Obviously dehydrated, hungry and fatigued... May have twisted her ankle when falling down the embankment. Turns out Cathy could not get up and spent the last few days lying on the ground.. As a result of being in the elements , Cathy suffered extreme sunburn. Cathy (along with Derek) were taken to Henry Mayo Hospital Newhall in Santa Clarita to be checked out. Cathy has been cleared and is being transfered to the Kaiser in PanoramaCity. Cathy is in good spirits (she asked for a glaze donut and was happy when they brought her one.) Not sure how long she will be at Kaiser. Thank you everyone for your concern and support during this ordeal. Thank goodness for a POSITIVE outcome. Your thoughts and prayers where answered...
Cathy was in good spirits and remembered a lot of her ordeal... She was thankful to be found. She is tired, sunburned, swollen and sore (but not in any great pain.)
Cathy wants everyone to know she is ok and thanks everyone for the concern, thoughts and prayers. Cathy is smiling in this picture , but when you spend a few days in the elements with no cover, you will get a little "beat up." Considering what she just went through, she looks in not so bad shape...

MISSION HILLS, Calif. (CNS) -- A Silver Alert has been issued for a 74-year- old woman who was last seen in Mission Hills.
Cathy Fujimoto was last seen at 7 a.m. Thursday near Germain Street and Kester Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert Friday on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Fujimoto is Asian, 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes. Authorities say she may be driving a blue 2009 Toyota Camry with a California license plate 6EQZ584.
Anyone who has seen Fujimoto or knows of her whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
A State of California SILVER ALERT has been issued. Family and friends have contacted and been in contact with numerous law enforcement agencies, hospitals, etc. Family and friends have also done "private investigation" covering all avenues in regards to locating a missing person... What we can do to help is to keep spreading the word through social media. As family and friends strategize the next course of action, we need to be mindful that a lot is happening and the situation is fluid. We will do our best to keep everyone posted and updated...
If anyone in the public SPOTS Cathy, they should call 911 immediately... In regards to contacting the family, we have been asked to be the "in between" as the family is tirelessly communicating with countless agencies, organizations, etc. searching for Cathy.
*Cathy was seen driving away from her house (neighbor's "ring camera.")
*Cathy does not have her mobile phone.
*Cathy's purse and wallet are not at the house.
*Cathy does not have any "bank cards"
*Cathy did have a small amount of cash on hand.
Unfortunately because Cathy was last seen driving in a car, she can be virtually anywhere... One sighting posted on social media took many today scouring Santa Monica, the pier, beach and surrounding area.
Family and friends have been contacting hospitals inquiring if Cathy had been admitted. They have also asked the hospitals to be aware of the SILVER ALERT... This is a ongoing "missing person's investigation" and everyone needs to be mindful of sharing and posting accurate information. If anyone has first hand information or relevant information that will aid in the search please contact the California Highway Patrol, Los Angeles County Sheriff Dept., Los Angeles Police Dept., etc
